Diary entry fifty two

Hello to you all. (No, not YOU. You, sir, are a buffoon. This is a house of
science sirs, and your hocus pocus is not much appreciated.)

This might well be my last entry for a while, Stan will be leaving next week
and he'll be (selfishly, I think ) taking his laptop home with him. This
also means that I won't be able to reply to all of your lovely emails for a
bit either, so keep that in mind.

Given that I don't have much time left I'm becoming kind of sentimental.
From day one here I'd just think of home, and not really realise where I was
and how I was doing. But now I don't have so long left I'm thinking more
about exactly where I am and what I've actually learned - not in such a
negative way, but in more of a definite 'this is it' realization.

I was going to learn the duck form. Just out of an impulse that perhaps
lasted a bit too long. It basically involves waddling about, and quacking.
Later I talked to Wei Shifu about it and we decided on a spear form.
Incidentally, Wei shifus great.

Did I ever say he wasn't?
He actually listens to what we say and makes changes all of the time. And he's a friend too. I
really like the times when he specifically tries to push me, at times when
I'm indifferent and couldn't care less about training, just to wake me up a
little.

We talked to Wei Shifu about some things we want changed about the school and
I think through him we've got the 300 entry fee taken out. I think. I'm
never sure. Things are never told directly to anyone, even Wei shifu doesn't
know everything that's going on. Most of the time I simply don't care
though, I'm happy here, just training and eating. Smoking some opium.
Ash says: with robots, you never know what they are thinking - I mean, look
at it this way - a robot in space, he's going to be looking out for himself.
I mean, if I was a robot, I'd be thinking, what's this human all about? 40
winks isn't a very long time. If only I could fly. I am proud to be left-handed
Thanks Ash.

Stan is working on a truthful and explanative website which will be up some
time. We have actual pictures of the building and stuff, and hopefully it
doesn't create any wrong impressions about what the academy is. That's so
important. I'll give you all the URL when it's up and you can ask me
questions etc etc.

AND AWAY! AWAY INTO THE NIGHT!
